Is there a way to change the IP address of SQL Server which is locally hosted and is not on cluster?

Hi All,I am asking about a virtual IP for SQL Server, is there a way we can assign a different IP to SQL Server other than the server's(host) IP address? like the same what we do in a clustered env.Thanks.
