If you were to do a fresh install it would set permissions on the disk so everything just works.Now when changing the service account (e.g. to a domain user) use the configuration manager, does it do the same magic (possibly sans if the database data/log files are on another disk)? Or do you need to trawl through the dozens of folders and assign rights manually?
