Hi allI have a 3 node SQL 2014 Always On configuration running. We tried increasing the CPUs and ran into the message - found 24 CPUs but only using 20. This is due to the version of SQL 2014 Enterprise edition that was installed. It was supposed to have been installed with SQL Server 2014 Enterprise Core Edition but was installed with just SQL Server 2014 Enterprise. My question is...will I be able to install a 4th node with SQL Server 2014 Enterprise Core Edition...then add that to my cluster and then Always On group. I can then fail over my group to this new node then evict each of the 3 nodes 1 at a time...and install them with the correct version and add them back into the cluster. If this is possible my down time is limited to just a failover. They are both Enterprise editions...the difference is on the licensing part so I think it is possible.Any thoughts appreciated!!!Thanks
